- When you contact me, I collect your name, email, phone number (if given) and what you tell me about your child.
- I use this only to reply to you and arrange assessment or therapy.
- Form messages are delivered to me through Netlify, which stores data in the United States.
- I don't share your details without your permission.
- You can ask me to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing shiraross.slt@gmail.com.

Who is responsible
Shira Ross Speech and Language Therapy, Glenhazel and surrounds, Johannesburg. Practice number 0939706. I'm the information officer for my practice.
Your child's information
Information about a child's health and development is special personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), so I only ask for what I need to reply to you.
If you tell me about your child, you confirm that you're their parent or legal guardian.
Sharing is your choice
You don't have to share any information, but I need a way to contact you to reply.
Other services this website uses
My email is hosted by Google (Gmail). This website is hosted by Netlify, which receives your device's IP address when you visit. It doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
If you message me on WhatsApp, your number and messages are handled by WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta.
How long I keep it
If you contact me but don't go ahead with an assessment or therapy, I keep your message and details for up to 12 months, then delete them.
If your child becomes my client, I keep their records for as long as the law and my professional rules (HPCSA) require.
If you have a concern
You can object to how your information is used or withdraw your consent at any time. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za.
